An Advocate-on-Record (AOR) is authorized under Order IV of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013 (previously Order IV of the Supreme Court Rules, 1966) to act and plead on behalf of parties before the Supreme Court of India. This designation is granted upon meeting the qualifications outlined in the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, and the ‘Regulations regarding Advocates-on-Record Examination.’ In 2014, Ashwarya Sinha became the youngest advocate to clear the Supreme Court’s AOR examination, marking a significant milestone in his legal career.
Recognized among India’s leading legal professionals, Ashwarya Sinha was honored in 2020 by *Business World Legal Magazine* in its prestigious *Elite 40 Under 40 Advocates* list. This accolade celebrates his exceptional contributions to the legal profession and identifies him as one of the top 40 lawyers in India under the age of 40.
Mr. Sinha has been bestowed with the prestigious certificate for completing a course at Cornell University an Ivy League Law School, at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Universities Summer Institute of International & Comparative Law, in the year 2007.
Mr. Sinha has been accorded recognition by his Alma Mater NUJS, one of the best Law Schools across the country for having delivered a 16 Hour lecture Course as a Guest speaker on the topic of “Supreme Court: Procedures and Practise” in the year 2023.

Appointed as Standing Counsel for the Central Government, Ashwarya Sinha represents the Union of India in significant cases before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
B. Expert Member of the Independent Grievance Review Board (IGRB)
Selected as an Expert Member of the Independent Grievance Review Board, chaired by Dr. Justice B.S. Chauhan (Retd.), Former Judge, Supreme Court of India. The board operates under the Internet and Mobile Association of India, focusing on grievances in the digital ecosystem.
